As a teacher, I often tell my students that it is important for them to manage their finances well. Even if they are still young it is important for them to learn how to save and invest their allowances and not waste it on games and partying. It is important for them to learn how to manage their money because money is not easily earned sometimes. You have to work hard for it and sacrifice so that you can earn some money.

I have read in some academic essay, that children who knows how to manage their money at a young age are better equipped to make monetary investments later on in life. They would be able to value hard work and know how it is important not to waste their money. They would be able to invest and make their grow. Those kids would be one step closer to gaining financial freedom.
